Independent Veterinary Practices Flourish with New Strategies at VetFamily Conference.

VetFamily Australia recently hosted their first annual member conference since the merge of their two independently successful buying groups, Vettr & Independent Vets of Australia.  Entitled - "Redefining Success - Thriving Amidst Uncertainty", the event brought together 190 delegates from 93 independently owned veterinary practices across Australia. With the participation of 21 leading industry sponsors such as Hills, Boehringer Ingelheim, MSD, Vetnostics, Provet, Virbac, Elanco, Zoetis and more, this gathering provided an unparalleled opportunity for veterinary practice owners to network, learn, and strengthen their practices in an ever-evolving landscape.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome evening, where attendees collaborated with Supplier Partners, shared food, drinks, and initial conversations that set the stage for two days of insightful sessions. Topics covered included the current economy and outlook, inventory management, client retention, pricing strategies, leveraging technology, team dynamics, talent management, and the all-important skill of flourishing amidst uncertainty. These sessions were designed to equip veterinary practice owners with the tools and knowledge needed to not only survive but thrive in today's challenging environment.

VetFamily Australia remains committed to bolstering the veterinary community by providing support, fostering knowledge sharing, and enhancing buying power—all while preserving the independence and values of individual clinics. This approach is essential in maintaining a vibrant and diverse veterinary landscape that resists the constraints of corporate ownership.

Feedback from VetFamily members was overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the sense of support, community, and the valuable resources provided. One member shared, "Being part of VetFamily means more than just being in a buying group—it's about being part of a like-minded community where ideas are shared, and relationships with suppliers are strengthened." Another added, "This conference has just cemented how brilliant it is to live as part of a group, not in professional isolation."

As a testament to our commitment to our members, VetFamily Australia provides two complimentary tickets to this annual conference, ensuring that independent practice owners have access to these invaluable opportunities for growth and connection.

We invite all independent veterinary practice owners who are looking to enhance their practice and join a supportive, like-minded community to reach out and explore the benefits of VetFamily membership. Together, we can redefine success and thrive together.
